See You Tomorrow
Night doesn’t call When I look out the window
It’s leaking onto the building, The trees, the parking lot,
A cat I didn’t notice the time
I just want to flick The light back on
Before you walk to your car So I can say something
That would shatter me Into a mosaic
The night turns into dust It’s been all over my hands,
My bag, my car— It’s in my head
I’ll never say it to you I’ll never break

Strength in all things. This is gorgeous 🫶
Loved reading this — such brilliant imagery - shattering into a mosaic / the image of night as dust on your hands it getting everywhere - oh just love it. So evocative.
